Q1. In one word, how would your best friend describe you, and how would you manager describe you?

Best friend: Ambitious
Manager: Reliable

Q2. Tell us about where you have come from and what has led you to Oxford.

I am a conscious, Mexican woman with more than 5 years of experience in Private Equity, specialising in Infrastructure. I am convinced that the purpose of life takes shape when our brightness goes beyond ourselves. That is why I have dedicated part of my time to participating in non-profit and volunteering activities. I am coming to Oxford to combine my passion with finance with my deep belief of helping others, changing lives and spreading awareness of others around the world.

Q3. What have you done to prepare yourself for the MBA?

I have made a deep assessment of myself to be ready to learn as much as possible in every sphere that composes me. I am also preparing by reading all I can about impact investing and social impact.

Q4. What do you hope to gain from completing your MBA?

I definitely want to become an expert in impact investing best practices. I want to learn new ways of thinking, I want to take advantage of others’ experiences from both personal and business perspectives.

Q5. What is the best advice you received before commencing your MBA?

To trust myself and to try new things. I am more than ready for both!

Q6. What part of the programme are you most looking forward to?

In everything related to impact investing, social impact, new ways of volunteering, and travelling.

Q7. What do you think will be the most challenging part of the programme?

Organising myself to do everything I want to do: learn from every class as if I had an exam every day for the rest of my life, meet people as if I am collecting their stories, share my time with others as if I could heal souls, read as if books were going to disappear, run as if I could transform every mile into smiles, travel as if memories were my nourishment, and develop a new me as if I had always known how I would be.

Q8. How do you plan to take the learnings from the MBA to influence positive change?

Mainly by becoming a testimony of that positive change through my way of thinking and doing.

Q9. Are there any sport teams, societies, or clubs you’re hoping to become a member of?

Yes! The impact investing club, the running club, and any other volunteering club (if it involves pets, even better!).

Q10. Lastly, what’s your favourite hashtag?
