Q1. In one word, how would your best friend describe you, and how would you manager describe you?
Best Friend: Funny
Q2. Tell us about where you have come from and what has led you to Oxford.
Originally from Cyprus, but I’ve lived in six countries across three continents. The reason I chose Oxford is because of it’s focus on social impact and entrepreneurship which is where I want to head next.
Q3. What have you done to prepare yourself for the MBA?
Took a few months off to try and figure out what I want to do post MBA. Reflected on what I wanted to get out of it and tried to link that to what sorts of things I would do during the MBA. I also connected with the outgoing class and my classmates in advance of starting.
Q4. What do you hope to gain from completing your MBA?
Some amazing friends; new ideas; the knowledge and skills to run a business; renewed confidence and energy to take on the world’s big problems; and hopefully some seed funding to kick of the entrepreneurial adventure.
Q5. What is the best advice you received before commencing your MBA?
Everything you think you know about yourself/your career/the MBA will be wrong/not relevant anymore/evolve. Try not to stick to preconceptions and roll with the punches. The sooner you can accept that and be open to change the happier and more fruitful MBA (and life?) you’ll have.
Q6. What part of the programme are you most looking forward to?
The amazing cohort!
Q7. What do you think will be the most challenging part of the programme?
Juggling the intense academic work, the extracurricular offering and the social activities.
Q8. How do you plan to take the learnings from the MBA to influence positive change?
I’m hoping to start my own social enterprise. There’s a few ideas and I’m hoping the MBA can help me narrow them down and even launch one while I’m here.
Q9. Are there any sport teams, societies, or clubs you’re hoping to become a member of?
College rowing, because according to the outgoing class, I “absolutely have to row at Oxford”.
Q10. Lastly, what’s your favourite hashtag?
